The gamer will feel completely in control of every aspect using this innovative new addition to WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010. The only downside of the story creator is that it limits the number of times ou can use your created characters. You can plan around this limitation, but it is frustrating.

If you enjoy creating characters and sharing them with the world, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 will let you unleash your creativity upon the entire gaming community. People can download characters and moves that you created and use them in their own games. You can upload entire storylines for other gamers to download and play through. The ability to upload and download fresh content should make WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 a game that never gets boring because it is constantly being changed and revised by the players themselves.

The controls of this game can seem a little complicated, especially if you don’t spend hours upon hours of gaming every day. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 includes a new, handy tutorial mode that can walk you through all of the aspects of the game that you’ll need to advance. You can train for all of the different types of matches and adjust the difficulty to make the game more fun to play. The targeting system of this game can be pretty tough to master, so spending some time in the training area is one way to improve your skills without getting destroyed in match play.

The graphics for this game area greatly improved as well. You can see the blood when a wrestler is injured. Wrestlers also react in more realistic ways like doubling over. Load times for the game have shortened dramatically, which means you spend more time playing and less time watching a status bar. Overall, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 is a good update to an already good game.

Wii Sports Resort is one of the best party games on the market today. It is okay if you want to play by yourself, but you really unlock the fun of the game when you play with several people. One important thing to know before you begin is that you will want to purchase an extra MotionPlus accessory so that everyone who participates can do all of the games. Wii Sports Resort was designed to be played with the MotionPlus accessory, and there will be one included with the game, but you will probably want to have more than one so that everyone can play at the same time.

The MotionPlus accessory makes a real difference in the sensitivity of the controller. That sensitivity translates nicely to the game’s performance on the screen, which feels much more natural and realistic than it did in previous games. The sword game makes it feel like you are really having a swordfight in your living room. The archery game is one of the best Wii Sports games every created.

On the downside, Wii Sports Resort doesn’t have online accessibility, so you can’t compete against people over the internet. The games are also somewhat shallow – there could be more levels or challenges within each of the games. That said, some of the games are difficult enough to begin with that you would probably never get past the first couple of levels anyhow. Cycling in particular is a challenge, especially if you are playing with someone else. Trying to pedal with your arms in unison and not tilt the controller too much can give even the most avid gamer some trouble.

There are many different activities to be unlocked before you have the complete Wii Sports Resort experience. The games and user interface are much better than the original Wii Sports, and the MotionPlus accessory really makes gameplay far more intuitive and fun. The nature of this game is to have fun, but you can’t discount the accidental health benefits of playing sports in your living room for hours. If you are looking for a new way to get a little exercise and you’re bored with the traditional methods you may find that Wii Sports Resort is your best fitness bet.

From the initial skydive onto Wii Island to the archery and swordfighting, Wii Sports Resort really delivers an improved gaming experience – which is pretty impressive because the original game pretty much changed the gaming world with its innovative interface and fun games.

Tiger is the unchallenged superstar of the golf world, and his PGA Tour 10 lives up to the quality of excellence that comes to mind when you think of Tiger Woods. You get to experience 16 of the best golf courses in the world, and you can play online or offline. There are four levels of difficulty that should keep the game interesting for any player for a very long time. The game interface is fabulous, and the controls are intuitive and fun to use.

If you’re not very knowledgeable about the game of golf you don’t have to sit out this video game. You can purchase special items of clothing at the game’s pro store to improve your swing and accuracy, and the easier difficulty levels are really easy, not just slightly easier. If you’re just out on the course for a good time, you can dress your golfer in absolute silliness – like a pink rabbit suit.

Unfortunately, your skills as a golfer depend more on which golfer you choose than which difficulty level you choose. There are over 30 golfers available to you, ranging from the famous pros to fictional character golfers. The game has Tiger Woods on the cover, and it obviously expects players to choose Tiger Woods as their player if they want to win. The other golfers are adequate, but playing with Tiger really makes all the difference in your success in this game.

The putting accuracy on this game makes up for any of the other shortcomings. You can line up your putt and set up your swing just exactly as you would do in real life. The controls are sensitive enough to translate the force you use to the ball on the screen – so if you hit it too hard it will skitter across the green, just like it would do if you were out on the course on a Sunday afternoon. Taking longer shots feels much more natural as well, with results that are far more accurate than in previous Tiger Woods PGA games.

Overall, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 has taken the best of the earlier versions and improved the play dramatically. Motion+ brings a realistic feel to each swing that makes you feel like you’re really on the golf course tearing it up with Tiger.

One of the more interesting games in development for Wii is Muscle March from Namco. This off-the-wall video game is taken directly from the original arcade game version, as is obvious by the graphics and gameplay. The trailer looks like something from the 1980s, and I wonder if the game would undergo any drastic changes to fit into the more polished world of today’s console video games.

From the trailers I’ve seen, this is typical Japanese mayhem. The loud midi music accompanies scenes of wild colors and strange backgrounds as the group rushes through building after building. Some of the characters that help you chase the thief are polar bears and other animals. The track that you run on changes into a flashy rainbow at times, then shifts to a city street scene. At one point in the trailer the powder is tackled out of the hands of the original thief, who is a football player, and into the waiting arms of a passing alien who then flies away.

Muscle March reminds me of the many Japanese game shows that have made it to American television lately. Its frantic pace and wild graphics can be a little overwhelming, but if you enjoy Japanese pop art you will love this game. The bright colors and quickly moving screens are fun to watch, though it may take a little practice to get used to the game itself.

The entire feel of the game is very old school. It would look right at home on an old Nintendo 64 with the cartoon characters and the jerky way they move around. Speaking of characters, the bodybuilders in this game are just unreal. They have so many muscles that if they were real people they wouldn’t be able to stand up and support their own weight. In the game, however, their proportions seem to fit with all of the other exaggerated wackiness. Girls get into the bodybuilding act as well as guys – and polar bears.

Parents might object to the scantily clad bodybuilders for younger children, but I can imagine older gamers enjoying the insanity with their barely clothed muscle-bound human shape shifters.

Even though it’s not my favorite kind of game, I can imagine that I would enjoy playing it a few times just to see what it does. It was fun just to watch the trailer. I’d love to see what it’s like on my home video game system.
