The only downside of the story creator is that it limits the number of times ou can use your created characters. You can plan around this limitation, but it is frustrating.

If you enjoy creating characters and sharing them with the world, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 will let you unleash your creativity upon the entire gaming community. People can download characters and moves that you created and use them in their own games. You can upload entire storylines for other gamers to download and play through. The ability to upload and download fresh content should make WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 a game that never gets boring because it is constantly being changed and revised by the players themselves.

The controls of this game can seem a little complicated, especially if you don’t spend hours upon hours of gaming every day. Wii Sports Resort was designed to be played with the MotionPlus accessory, and there will be one included with the game, but you will probably want to have more than one so that everyone can play at the same time.

That sensitivity translates nicely to the game’s performance on the screen, which feels much more natural and realistic than it did in previous games. The games and user interface are much better than the original Wii Sports, and the MotionPlus accessory really makes gameplay far more intuitive and fun. The nature of this game is to have fun, but you can’t discount the accidental health benefits of playing sports in your living room for hours. If you are looking for a new way to get a little exercise and you’re bored with the traditional methods you may find that Wii Sports Resort is your best fitness bet.

From the initial skydive onto Wii Island to the archery and swordfighting, Wii Sports Resort really delivers an improved gaming experience – which is pretty impressive because the original game pretty much changed the gaming world with its innovative interface and fun games.

You get to experience 16 of the best golf courses in the world, and you can play online or offline. There are four levels of difficulty that should keep the game interesting for any player for a very long time. The game interface is fabulous, and the controls are intuitive and fun to use.

If you’re not very knowledgeable about the game of golf you don’t have to sit out this video game. You can purchase special items of clothing at the game’s pro store to improve your swing and accuracy, and the easier difficulty levels are really easy, not just slightly easier. If you’re just out on the course for a good time, you can dress your golfer in absolute silliness – like a pink rabbit suit.

Unfortunately, your skills as a golfer depend more on which golfer you choose than which difficulty level you choose. There are over 30 golfers available to you, ranging from the famous pros to fictional character golfers. The game has Tiger Woods on the cover, and it obviously expects players to choose Tiger Woods as their player if they want to win. The other golfers are adequate, but playing with Tiger really makes all the difference in your success in this game.

The putting accuracy on this game makes up for any of the other shortcomings. You can line up your putt and set up your swing just exactly as you would do in real life. The controls are sensitive enough to translate the force you use to the ball on the screen – so if you hit it too hard it will skitter across the green, just like it would do if you were out on the course on a Sunday afternoon. Taking longer shots feels much more natural as well, with results that are far more accurate than in previous Tiger Woods PGA games.

Overall, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 has taken the best of the earlier versions and improved the play dramatically. Motion+ brings a realistic feel to each swing that makes you feel like you’re really on the golf course tearing it up with Tiger.

The cast of characters for Super Smash Brothers Brawl is overwhelming, including several characters that have never been included in a Smash Brothers game before. This update really uses all of the features that are available with the Wii gaming system and is a blast to play alone or with your friends.

You don’t have to be a hardcore gamer to enjoy Super Smash Brothers. The controls are simple to use (normal fighting really only uses two buttons) and the controller can be altered four different ways to fit the comfort of the player. That means that younger players will be able to participate and really have fun without being frustrated by the controls. The goal of the game is simple as well – you smash your opponents until you knock them outside of the arena. Kids really like the straightforward nature of Smash Brothers compared to the more complicated action adventure quest games that tend to fill up the video game racks.

Naruto Shippuden is a very popular series of video games based on an anime series. Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 continues the story with more of the same style of play. There are 35 different characters to choose from as you fight your way through the storyline using martial arts techniques.

This respect for the television show lends itself nicely to high quality graphics. Many of the scenes are cut straight out of the original anime, which continues the illusion of having stepped into the television screen. Battles are smooth and easy to follow and allow you to enjoy watching the special jutsu moves to the fullest extent.

Many players like to take advantage of the opportunity to play games real-time on broadband connections, and Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 supports wireless play. One of the downsides of multi-play, however, is that it can sometimes be confusing trying to figure out who you are supposed to target next. There is also a new feature in multi-play that allows you to tagteam with other players during fights. If you are playing with others, you can take advantage of this feature to extend your battles and conserve life.

Some of the aspects of the game are difficult enough to be frustrating. There seems to be randomness to the levels of the opponents you face, so the battle intensity does not gradually build as the game goes along. The controls are simple enough to handle, but some of the more spectacular fighting moves require quite a bit of hand-eye coordination to pull off during a fierce fight.

The differences between Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 and Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 are not dramatic. If you liked the previous game, you’ll like the extension of more of the same in this new version. Aside from the tagging feature, there is little to draw in new fans to the franchise. The core audience that already enjoys the Naruto Shippuden series will appreciate this game, but players who are new to the series may not find it very interesting.

However, there are legions of existing fans that will enjoy Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 and appreciate some of the upgrades to the game. New combinations are available, and there are some fun new characters that can be unlocked as the game progresses. Overall this is a decent continuation of a popular game that delivers exactly what you would expect.

One of the more interesting games in development for Wii is Muscle March from Namco. This off-the-wall video game is taken directly from the original arcade game version, as is obvious by the graphics and gameplay. The trailer looks like something from the 1980s, and I wonder if the game would undergo any drastic changes to fit into the more polished world of today’s console video games.

From the trailers I’ve seen, this is typical Japanese mayhem. The loud midi music accompanies scenes of wild colors and strange backgrounds as the group rushes through building after building. Some of the characters that help you chase the thief are polar bears and other animals. The track that you run on changes into a flashy rainbow at times, then shifts to a city street scene. At one point in the trailer the powder is tackled out of the hands of the original thief, who is a football player, and into the waiting arms of a passing alien who then flies away.

Muscle March reminds me of the many Japanese game shows that have made it to American television lately. Its frantic pace and wild graphics can be a little overwhelming, but if you enjoy Japanese pop art you will love this game. The bright colors and quickly moving screens are fun to watch, though it may take a little practice to get used to the game itself.

The entire feel of the game is very old school. It would look right at home on an old Nintendo 64 with the cartoon characters and the jerky way they move around. Speaking of characters, the bodybuilders in this game are just unreal. They have so many muscles that if they were real people they wouldn’t be able to stand up and support their own weight. In the game, however, their proportions seem to fit with all of the other exaggerated wackiness. Girls get into the bodybuilding act as well as guys – and polar bears.

Parents might object to the scantily clad bodybuilders for younger children, but I can imagine older gamers enjoying the insanity with their barely clothed muscle-bound human shape shifters.

Even though it’s not my favorite kind of game, I can imagine that I would enjoy playing it a few times just to see what it does. It was fun just to watch the trailer. I’d love to see what it’s like on my home video game system.

Set to be released the day after Christmas, 2009, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers brings the Final Fantasy franchise to Wii for the first time.

The story picks up about a century after the end of the previous Crystal Chronicles game. You follow the adventures of a single character who travels through a world in which the Lilty race runs everything. Magic is outlawed in this strange new world, though there are a few who have magical powers and the government’s permission to use them. The Crystal Bearers includes more modern weapons, such as guns, which seems unusual in a Final Fantasy game.

Telekinesis figures heavily in this Final Fantasy game, and Wii’s remote is reserved exclusively for controlling objects through mind power. One of the most interesting telekinetic powers that you’ll get to play with is picking up your enemies and throwing them. You can also look around using the remote, but it can be a little tricky to get the hang of. Fighting is real-time in this new game, which adds a new element of reality. Your character will square off directly against enemies, and the status of each character is displayed above the character’s head with little blinking icons so you can always tell what you’re up against.

Mini-games have been advertised strongly with The Crystal Bearers. Some reviewers who have had a chance to preview the game say that the mini-games are more like in-game challenges rather than side adventures. Your character will be stopped mid-game to perform a task before he is allowed to carry on the main storyline. The benefit of the mini-games, however, is that you are rewarded with medals for successfully completing tasks. You are also not required to finish each mini-game before you can proceed – sometimes the game will be waiting off the beaten path for you to find as you travel through the area the next time. Many players really enjoy the collecting aspect of gaming, and this medal collecting part of the game will be great for those players.

This new Final Fantasy promises to be unlike any other Final Fantasy game you’ve ever played. The traditional role-playing elements of turn-taking and group battles are gone. They’ve been replaced by a single-hero format which focuses more on exploration and one-on-one monster battles. The Crystal Bearers still follows the Final Fantasy storyline faithfully throughout the game, but the feeling of earlier Final Fantasy games seems to be totally lost. The graphics are stunningly beautiful, and the world is wide open to explore for your character. The mini-games give you smaller, bite-sized goals that keep the game entertaining while you complete all of the various tasks that are necessary to a

F1 2009 marks the first time Electronic Arts has released this game for multiple platforms. All of the previous F1 games have been released strictly for the Sony PlayStation consoles.

The game is basically Formula One racing, based on the real international Formula One circuits. The original 20 drivers who began the 2009 racing year are included in F1 2009, and you can take advantage of different levels of play with each driver. All of the tracks that are included in the real Formula One racing circuit are also included in the video game. Some tracks are set up for night runs, which give a little variety to the racing atmosphere.

Players can choose whether they want to run through an entire season, play single quick races, or take advantage of the multiplayer option on the PSP. Cars are fully customizable, from the balance, suspension, and tire pressures to the individual gear ratios. A challenge mode has multiple side games that can be fun aside from the regular circuit.

Unfortunately the graphics don’t live up to previous versions of F1. It looks like the designers didn’t spend any effort at all to create high-end graphics. They are very low tech and incredibly disappointing – especially from a game that came out of the graphically intensive world of PlayStation. The laws of physics don’t seem to apply in this game either, as cars bounce around the track without any regard for what would happen in real life.

The controls and handling of the cars in F1 2009 might just take your mind off of the irritating graphics. Cars handle superbly, and the controls are intuitive enough that you forget you’re playing a game sometimes and completely immerse yourself in the driving. You really get a sense that you are controlling a machine that is moving really fast and you could lose control at any moment. The danger of Formula One racing is definitely channeled through this video game, regardless of the graphic problems.

F1 2009 looks more like an old fashioned arcade style game, but it plays like a high powered modern racing game. If you want great graphics and beautiful scenery you will be disappointed. If, on the other hand, all you really want is to feel like you’re sitting in the seat of a Formula One racing car, this game will not disappoint you.

With Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition, Call of Duty has shifted its focus from the World War II arena to something that more closely resembles the battles soldiers face today.

The Wii version has had to sacrifice some of the 3D graphics and High Definition elements that make Call of Duty such a stand-out game, and there are other first-person shooters that have many more features. The Wii graphics are just disappointing overall, with simple textures and a stripped down feel to the entire game. On the plus side, the video content does give an added sense of tension to the game and makes it feel a little more realistic as you proceed through the levels.

The game is relatively easy to play with customizable controls that let you choose the configuration. Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition allows you to play with up to 10 players online, which gives it an infinite amount of flexibility during the game. There are also 13 Multi-player Modes that let you change things up over and over again. If you are a fan of first-person shooters you will play this game for hours and never get bored.

If you’re playing alone in Campaign Mode you will find that the story is much more prevalent than in the Multi-player Mode. Your friends don’t have to just sit and watch you play, though, even in Campaign Mode. Reflex Edition allows a second player to jump into the game at any time as one of your backup soldiers. The game starts out poorly but gets much better as you advance to higher levels.

Multi-player Mode is where all the best fun lies in Reflex Edition. The challenges are fast and furious and leveling up gives you access to better weapons and upgrades. If you are familiar with any of the other Call of Duty games you will recognize the format and game style, but you will also see that there have been some vast improvements made overall. You’ll need to work around the fact that voice-chat is unavailable on the Reflex Edition version.

If you’re looking for a great first-person shooter, the Call of Duty series is always a good place to start. Though the Wii graphics leave something to be desired, the rest of the game is a solid first-person shooter with an interesting story. The update to modern warfare gives Call of Duty a new and relevant perspective.
